I will go on holidays next Thursday and will be away for a week without internet access.
All I can think of is to adopt a sacrificial posture. Ahi will maneuver so as to place the Sekem between himself and the rest of the group, telling them to get ready to attack immediately as soon as the Sekem appears. They should only have a brief moment to do it, but if they are waiting for it and readied on that specific moment, perhaps they will be able to make it.

In 3E terms, this would be a ready action.

My rationale is that the Sekem seems to require being in the 3d aspect to make a concrete attack, and that is the only time when we can actually attack it. Otherwise, I suspect only some kind of magic (but which?!) will be able to damage it.
