OOC: I see that Gaderon chose 5 identify spells for this day, so I suppose that he tries to identify the ring, crook, and flail, as well as the necklace from the scorpion-snake.
IC: Several hours pass by uneventful. Finally Gaderon rises and slips the stone ring an his finger, thereafter taking out the needed paraphernalia for his magical identification, and finally casting the spell.
Success roll:
Gaderon finds out that the ring enables its wearer to pass through solid stone once per day. He isn't able to discern how long he can do this or how far through stone he can walk.
After a short pause, Gaderon picks up the large and heavy necklace of the scorpion-snake. It is made of green crocodile leather and set with seven large emeralds of great value.
Success roll:
The second identify spell tells Gaderon that the true power of the necklace lies beneath the emeralds. Taking out his dagger and carefully prying them out, he discovers that there is a small hidden compartment beneath each gemstone that holds a tiny magical talisman in the shape of a scarab made of serpentine. Each talisman holds one power and only works once for its wearer. When activated, the powers of the ten talismans are:
1. Protection from ingested, insinuated and contact poisons. 2. Protection from poisonous gaze and poisonous breath attacks 3. Protection from paralyzing and petrifying touches 4. Protection from paralyzing and petrifying breaths 5. Protection from paralyzing and petrifying gazes 6. Protection from diseases and parasitic infections 7. Protection from loss of external body parts (toes, fingers, limbs, etc.)
Gaderon is unable to tell for how long the protection lasts.
Strangely, Gaderon isn't able to find out anything about the powers of the crook and flail. They seem to resist each identify attempt, and so he needs to give up after casting his last identify spell for this day.
OOC: Please let me know who will take the items.
