Sol will attempt to detect magic with Tizona's powers on each item (if possible). First the flail and then the crook as they are a little separated from the rest. Then trying the ring, the necklace and the scroll.

"I don't necessarily want these things, but I don't think that we should leave them here, either. Worst case we can give them to Shemsi."

Tizona detects a quite powerful magic aura upon the ring, and a dim one on both flail and crook. The papyrus scroll does not detect as magical.

Gaderon, still watchful.

Sol will gently pick up the scroll and look at it. If it is a spell book he will offer it to Gaderon. Otherwise, ask Eilkhan to evaluate its value and store it in her bag of holding.

Then the crook and flail. Is there any recognizable writing on them? Unless they seem useful or someone wants them, he will ask Eilkhan to store them in her bag of holding, too.

And finally, he will remove the ring and offer it to Gaderon "Can you identify this?"

BTW, was the necklace magical?

Gaderon will pale at Sol simply touching with his fingers what might be sublimely trapped items.

Signaling his companion to lay the items on the floor before them, Gaderon will then examine the things.

Like a cat would examine water.

Sol will comply with Gaderon's request.

Ahi observes the doors and asks around to the others:

"So, what do you think these carvings mean? Some kind of clue to the kind of enemy we're about to expect beyond those doors?"

Eilkhan removes the gem-studded necklace of the scorpion-snake from her bag and holds it before Tizona, which immediately detects a powerful magical aura on it.

The papyrus scroll is clutched tight in the mummified corpse's hand, and tears apart as Sol tries to remove it. From what he can tell, its scraps are devoid of any writings or depictions.

Examining the crook, the flail and the ring closely, Gaderon can only tell the following things: Both crook and flail look remarkably like the items depicted on the newly appeared portals. The ring appears to be cut out of deep black onyx, and features a single glyph on it, which means 'Earth'. More he cannot say without the help of an identify spell.

After Gaderon tells them what he has found, Kherim says

"Should we rest until for Gaderon to memorize Identity spells, before we proceed? Depending on the door we choose, our strategy and spell choice may change also."

Sol says "I am in favor of resting until we can identify the ring and the necklace, at least. The crook and the flail may be needed to pass thru the doors or beyond those doors..."
