He will start moving cautiously toward Rahotep's statue.

Before the start, Kherim and Ahi also prepare.

- Ahi casts Heroes Feast on everyone (as standard )
- Kherim and Ahi cast Negative Plane Protection (only 3 memorized) on Sol, Kherim and Ahi.
- Ahi casts Resist Fire (4 times) on Sol, Kherim, Ahi and Eilkhan



Just before the fight starts:

- Kherim casts Prayer on the group
- Ahi casts Remove Fear on Gaderon and Sol
- Ahi casts Protection from Evil 10'

Being of nearly the same size as the statue, both Sol and Kherim approach the towering figure of the Archpriest-Wizard when they suddenly notice movement atop it. The headdress has become a living thing, a human-faced vulture, the Khu of Rahotep that you have encountered before! It mournfully croaks a brief phrase, flaps its wings once, and then slowly starts to vanish...

The croak seemed almost human, and the sound seemed to convey something - was it saying "So now you have incurred the Seventh Curse of Rahotep"?

Whatever the message, it is now of no import, for the huge statue is moving ponderously towards you!

OOC: Ascension day is a national holiday here, which means that I'm having a long weekend ahead of me that I intend to spend playing D&D with my oldest campaign (we're in our 32nd year now), so my next posting will likely be next week. Please state your actions for the 1st round of combat. The Khu is still there too, although it slowly starts fading away.

Sol will move to the right around the column (basically under Khu) and attempt to use the magic warhammer on the statue of Rahotep.

Gaderon will stay where he is, and channel all his magic energy into unleashing a blast of electricity against the vulture.
A grim smile crosses his face as he does so...
