Round 4

Party initiative: 4
Gholle initiative: 3

The Gods smile upon you because no one falls for the paralyzing gaze of the gholle. You stand your ground and continue attacking the fearsome undead.

While Eilkhan once more misses the creature before her, Kherim to her left is more successful. Two quick slashes with his scimitar cut down one of the gholle that attack him.

Both of Sol's sword attacks hit the gholle, but neither of them falls to the ground, although the one to his right seems to remain on his feet only by force of sheer will after Tizona bit him deep in the chest.

Moving a bit closer to Eilkhan, Gaderon casts burning hands, and a fan of searing hot flames springs forth from his fingertips, heavily burning the gholle, but not killing him.

As he raises the crown & longbow symbol of his goddess, Ahi realizes that the gholle are stronger than he would have guessed. He feels the holy power flowing through his hands into the golden symbol, but only the gholle directly before him seems impressed and retreats, albeit slowly and grudgingly. Perhaps it's the aura of the evil one that surrounds everyone and everything in here, who can say? Fact is that the other gholle ignore him and continue their attacks with ferocity.

Gholle #2 attacking Eilkhan:
Once more, only one claw sweep hits the thief, for damage 7.
Damage:

Gholle #5 attacking Kherim:
Kherim only gets bitten this time, for 10 points of damage.
Chance for a critical hit:
Damage:

Gholle #8 and #10 attacking Sol:
Even though he's barely able to stand on his feet, the gholle to his right grabs Sol and manages to get a hold on him and therefore two additional raking attacks because of it, one of which hits. The gholle to his left scores two hits on the warrior, with claw and bite. The total damage is 37 points.
Raking attacks:

Sol winces with pain, realizing that he will needs some major healing after this is over, but continues to fight doggedly with the gholles before him.

Three attacks this round starting with #8 and then hitting #10, when #8 goes down: 20/16, 16/16, 23/13

Gaderon will use his second burning hands spell on gholle #2, damage: 16

Ahi takes the change offered by the retreating Gholle to help Sol, and moving to the protection of the big warrior, he casts Cure Critical Wounds on him, restoring 15hp for Sol.

Meanwhile, Kherim is worried with the Gholle attacking Eilkhan, but if he decides to attack it, he may leave Sol exposed to three undead, so he decides to endure that Gholle and attack, hoping that Gaderon's support can help Eilkhan and make them both survive the fight.

Kherim attacks: 3@ 1d20 + 7 = 16, 20, 22

Damage: 3@ 1d8+7 = 10,15,14

OOC: guys, remember that Bless is in place, and all of you have +1 to attack.

Round 5

Party initiative: 3
Gholle initiative: 4

Fearless, the gholle continue to attack you.

Gholle #2 attacking Eilkhan:
Another claw hits the thief, causing 6 points of damage
Damage:

Gholle #5 attacking Kherim:
Chance to fumble: A fumble!
The Gholle reaches out to grab Kherim, but as it reaches out, it steps into a puddle of blood that has accumulated around it on the floor. Slipping, it falls to the ground, unable to attack this round.

Gholle #8 and #10 attack Sol:
The two gholle obviously start to lose their vigor, due to their severe wounds and pain. Only one of them manages to hit Sol with a claw swipe, causing another 11 points of damage to the warrior.
Damage:

The gholle that was turned by Ahi retreats further. It seems to have made up his mind and now hurries quickly back to the secret opening behind the statue from whence it came.

Sol's three well-aimed sword attacks make short work of his opponents. Both gholle drop down dead.

Another jet of flames burns the gholle that attacks Eilkhan, but Gaderon is still unable to kill the thing. The thief herself is of no big help as she seems to be unable to attack successfully in this battle.

Too their left, Kherim quickly kills the gholle while it tries to get back on its feet again, leaving only one foe active.

OOC: No map update needed this time, I guess. One last fighting gholle still presses on Eilkhan. The other one has fled into the secret corridor.

Kherim closes in on the remaining Gholle, the anger from their existence dancing on his eyes.

Attack:
2@1d20+7 = 20, 24

Damage:
2@1d8+7 = 14, 14

Ahi approaches Eilkhan, and respectfully touches her with a healing break.

OOC: Cure Severe Wounds: 2d8+1 = 8

Since Kherim probably has the gholle taken care of, Sol will use one of his potions of extra-healing to try to recover from the damage he took during the fight.

Potion of Extra-Healing roll 3d8+3: 11

Gaderon will watch the passage to make sure that the gholle that fled doesn't return. He will levitate closer to the entrance to see what he can see down the corridor.

Kherim quickly takes down the last remaining gholle and the threat seems to be over for the moment.

Levitating towards the secret entrance, Gaderon notices a horrible stench coming out of this place. All he can see is that the narrow passage opens into some larger area. There's no trace of the fleeing gholle, and the odor is so horrible, that the mage quickly retreats a few feet into the hall after taking a quick look.

Sol isn't pleased with the results of his healing potion and casts all three of Tizona's cure light wound spells on himself.

Gaderon offers "What should we do now. Should we check out this stinky passage on the left or should I go over to the statue on the left and use my wand of trap and secret door location to see if that is like the one on the right or should we continue to go forward or should we stop and lick our wounds for a bit?"

Kherim smiles grimly at the efficient exposition of Gaderon. Shrugging, he answers

"I was of a mind to go down the Gholle corridor, but the smell coming from there really puts me off. I would rather go on forward without checking the other statue, because I think it might lead nowhere but another battle like this. And we still have to assess our damage as it is."

Ahi adds "We should heal ourselves first before moving anywhere. How badly are you people hurt? These Gholles hit hard, and 2 more hits like the one I suffered would have put me under."
Kherim nods and says: "Yes, I definitely need healing too. Somewhat badly shaken here."

OOC: remind me please, did we buy healing potions and new scrolls while we were in the city? I don't have any changes in my character sheets, but that may have been my fault.
OOC: also, for Ahi's answer, give me the mechanics of it, don't just the in-game reply.

OOC:
- Ahi = -24 / 80
- Kherim = -36 / 80
