Sol turns and looks up the stairs at the others and says "It's your turn to dowse the rest of these things with water."

With that he will move up the stairs to make room for the others to come down and take their turn dowsing skeletons.

Gaderon will remain where he is to control the spell.

One waterskin turns out to be good for two skeletons, so two more go down after Ahi's and Kherim's common efforts. Gaderon's magical hand will keep them at bay for another two rounds now. In case that no one has any more water to spend (OOC: What about Elmo and Ivid, Rafe?), it looks as if you need to fight the four remaining copper skeletons the hard way....

Using your last three waterskins finally brings down the remaining copper skeletons. Sizzling and smoking, they fall down one by one. Those which still weakly move here and there are finished off with sword and axe. The way into the hallway is open at last.

OOC: Man, I never expected that battle to last THAT long! Luckily, it's over now and we can continue onward. :D

Kherim looks in the room just enough to locate more of those floating balls. If he sees them, he signals the archers to try and take them out.

There are now black empty spaces on the wall where the coppery skeletons were. Peering through the gloom, you note again the wretched pillars and floating globes of sickening light. With sure hand, Eilkhan shoots at the remaining three of them, turning each into a cackling skull that explodes in a ball of fire.

Now that this is done, you make out more of these sick light balls ahead in the distance, weakly illuminating a vast hall, at least 50 feet broad and 80 or more feet long; the light is too poor to say with certainty. Eilkhan could shoot at those light balls that are not around corners, but they're not easy to see, and it might also waste her remaining arrows. As implied by the sloping walls, the ceiling arches overhead, but you can't tell how much unless you move further onward.

Sol will use Tizona's powers to detect magic in the chamber.

Gaderon will use his wand of Secret Door and Trap Location on the chamber, as well.
