The lightning bolts hit Gaderon, but the damage is not much: 8 in total.

While Ahi retreats up the stairs to be able to cast spells undisturbed, Sol and Kherim close the gap in the front rank and continue to exchange blows with the copper skeletons. It's growingly uncomfortable to be in close combat with these things because of the crackling aura of blue energy that surrounds them and which produces a lot of ozone, poisoning the air.

The paladin fights extremely well, penetrating the skeleton's defense with each blow and finally destroying the thing! Each attack makes him suffer though because of the electricity, and he takes 24 points of damage himself in return. Quickly closing the gap, another skeleton steps up and attacks Kherim, but misses him.

Sol only hits once, but his hammer is obviously a powerful weapon as it scores more damage than expected (OOC: Sol can by now tell that the weapon is of +4 quality!). The contact with the skeleton damages Sol for 7 hps, and he also gets hit by the skeleton's spear for another 8 points of damage.

Gaderon finally manages to unleash his disintegration ray at one of the copper skeletons, but the thing remains! (Copper Skeleton's saving throw: 16 )

In return, more and more of the skeletons in the back rows concentrate their attention on the levitating mage. This time six lightning bolts are directed at him

OOC: Please make six STs vs magic for Gaderon, please, each one with a +8 bonus. And state your actions for round 5, please.

Rather comfortable in his position, Ivid will continue to shoot the attackers, until they are down, or he is out of arrows.

Sol will continue to use the hammer on the skeleton he is facing.

Sir C, any change that Ahi's spell goes off in round 4? If not, he will cast it in the next round. Guess Kherim just goes on to hack again.

Suddenly, the air in front of you is filled with sticky-looking strands of web, similar to that of a giant spider. Ahi quickly realizes though that the copper skeletons are obviously immune to his enmeshment spell as they continue to move freely through the webs and don't get teleported away.

Gaderon gets more and more into the crossfire of the skeleton's lightning bolts. He's losing 11 points of damage this time, but that was due to luck and his immensely effective magical protections. His exploding fireball creates a wave of oven-like heat that rolls over the combatants. Unfortunately, the copper skeletons aren't damaged at all by it.

Battering with his hammer on the skeleton in front of him, Sol is damaged for 10 points due to the flow of electricity when he comes in contact with the thing. His two hits destroy large parts of his opponent, but it still moves, albeit only barely.

Kherim is only able to penetrate the skeleton's defense once this time, but it's the first hit that it gets, and so the damage isn't too strong. The rebound of electrical energy damages himself for 6 hp.

The skeletons mindlessly continue to attack in their programmed fashion, stabbing at Sol and Kherim with their spears and hurling lightning bolts at the levitating Gaderon.
While Sol is able to parry the attack, Kherim gets hit and suffers another 12 points of damage due to the combination of weapon and electricity. The paladin is already badly wounded by now (OOC: Only 17 hps left on my table)

Seven lightning bolts fly towards Gaderon this round.

OOC: Seven STs for Gaderon, please. No new map this time as nothing has changed in the battle formations)

Since we seem to have agreed to withdraw, Gaderon will drop to the stairs and cast Bigby's Interposing Hand between our front rank and the copper skeleton's.

Kherim focuses on healing himself with Lay on Hands, while moving away from the golems. Ahi provides cover to him if needed, by attacking with the Uas rod

OOC: I count 50hp in wounds for Kherim, leaving him at 29hp. Am I missing something?
To check: Ahi is currently, according to my calculations, with 34 wounds for a current of 34hp.
Does this match what you have Sir C?

The lightning bolts from the skeletons hit Gaderon for 11 points of damage before he levitates down again. Once more his exc ellent magical protection saves him here.

Mercilessly, the copper skeletons press on and slowly drive you back up the stairs, stabbing at you with their electricity-laden spears as they do so. Sol gets hit once and suffers 7 points of damage due to the stab, the electricity being reflected by his ring. Concentrating on his defense, Kherim manages to parry all attacks on him in this round, taking no damage at all. The other copper skeletons rearrange their formation this round and cease firing lightning bolts at you for the moment.

While retreating, Kherim heals himself for 28 points of damage. After casting his spell, Gaderon drops to the ground in front of Sol and Kherim. In front of him is a huge magical hand that effectively blocks the advancing skeletons.

As you start to retreat up the stairs, you notice that the skeletons are following you in close ranks. The hand that Gaderon conjured up isn't a stationary spell but moves with him, always remaining between him and the skeletons.

OOC: Please remember that the corridor at the top of the stairs is a crawlspace. You can only enter there one after the other. In case your only plan now is to retreat in there and not to attack the copper skeletons anymore, please tell me the exact order in which you crawl into the that corridor as you will be unable to change that order therefater due to the retricted space in there (I assume that you crawl in there backwards to be able to face the skeletons, should they follow you).

Gaderon decides to go back down the steps to see how his spell affects the golum skeletons.

"Do you think we could use this to push the skeletons back and get past them? Is that something we are willing to try?"
