The vampirettes continue to attack with blinding speed.

Ahi, while retreating towards Kherim and fumbling for the pendants, gets hit once more and is drained of another two levels! "You're too late with those pendants, little priest, too late...", purrs the vampire as she digs her claws into Ahi's flesh.
Attack on Ahi:

OOC: Adjusted char sheets for those drained are sent by email, the spell lists have been edited.

Sol and Kherim are attacked too. But while Sol is once more able to fend off the vampirette, Kherim gets hit this time and is level-drained.

Ivid too is drained of his life energy once more, as his attacker delightfully draws it from him

While Eilkhan, under the cloak of invisibility, moves behind Ivid's attacker, the vampirette lunges forward towards Gaderon, but misses completely and nearly falls headlong to the floor.
Attack on Gaderon:

Kherim, Ivid, and Gaderon all see how the "Master" unrolls an ancient papyrus scroll and starts reading an arcane spell from it. Gaderon immediately realizes from the complexity of the words and syllables that it is likely a spell of great power.

Then Kherim raises his holy smybol, the golden falcon of Horus, and invokes his deity's power to turn the foul undead creatures, but it seems that the attack from the vampirette has weakened him too much, and his turning attempt fails:

Being in the lucky situation that his attacker has failed so miserably, Gaderon manages to cast his delayed blast fireball without risk of a free attack and directs it at the "Master" who still chants malign words from his scroll. (OOC: I suppose that the delay of the fireball is 1 segment only as Gaderon wants to kill the master?) The fireball detonates with a roar and engulfs the master in its flames, setting fire as well to several of the wooden coffins. Alas, the fiend wasn't damaged by it as much as Gaderon hoped....

The Master's saving throw:
Damage for the Master: Damage is halved to 31 due to the successful saving throw.

A wave of blistering heat rolls over you as the fireball explodes, and you hear fearful shrieks coming from the human captives in the corner. And even though the spell didn't kill the creature, it set fire to his cowled robe and to the scroll in its hands, and thus stopping his incantantions.

Moving forward to shield off Ahi from further attacks, Elmo, shield and axe in hand, strikes at the vampire and hits her two times, heavily. Severely wounded, the creature reels back, with Elmo pressing on.

Sol makes short work of his adversary. Screaming of pain due to Tizona's flames, the vampirette's undead existence ends very quickly. Turning gaseous, her remains drift towards one of the wooden coffins, no doubt to reform soon again.

The vampire before Ivid meets the same fate the very moment as Eilkhan buries the blade of her short sword deep into the back of the creature. Without a sound, the vampire dissolves into a wisp of fog, drifting towards one of the coffins.....

OOC: You guys get your asses kicked this time. Ahi and Ivid are already down to level 12.... Please keep in mind that the smoke from the burning coffins will cause you severe problems within a few rounds, unless you somehow manage to extinguish the flames.

Sol spins around and attacks the vampirette attacking Ahi with Tizona. Two attacks this time (adjusted to hit/damage): 25/11, 27/12

Gaderon back pedals, hoping someone will take out the vampirette that is coming after him, while he casts one of his two regular fireball spells at the master.

Ivid will try to step out if the circle of fighting, and start launching arrows against the "Master".

If he can't hit him, he may still... Buy his friends some time.

The bowman's legs are shaking, and blood is dripping from his mouth.

Well, some notes... the Heroes' Feast should still be active, right? As it lasts for half a day, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, Kherim still gives his 10' protection from evil. And what about the Resist Fire spells that I think I cast before, are they still active?

After this, Ahi only has healing spells, mostly. He was not prepared to fight undead.
So he will try to find all the pendants in the pile and put them around everyone's necks who hasn't one already.

Kherim will try attack with all his might.

I don't know the adjusted stats after the drain. I just roll with the old statistics, ok?

Attacks:
3 at 1d20+6, dmg 1d8+6. If the Heroes' Feast is active, that adds a +1 to attack to everyone, due to the Bless effect.

3 x 1d20 + 6 = 10, 14, 22 (maybe add 1 from Bless)

Activating her ring again, Eilkhan makes her way to where the Vampiress is heading, running at full speed. She waits for the gaseous form to enter the coffin before opneing it and hacking at the form of the Vampiress.

More furniture and coffins start burning, emitting even more smoke into the vault. Up to now, you suffer no bad consequences because of it, but it's only a question of a few more minutes until death by asphyxiation will become a real danger for both you and the prisoners.

Turning around, Sol sees that Elmo has already taken over the vampirette from Ahi, but there's one pressing Gaderon and trying to keep him from spellcasting, so the warrior pushes past Elmo and attacks. Unfortunately, he's not able to take her down with his two hits, but she turns away from the mage and towards him...
Two chances for critical hits:

Gaderon, now free of danger, unleashes yet another fireball at the Master, who is unable to dodge it this time and takes full damage by the explosion.

Another heatwave washes over you, making sweat break out of every pore on your bodies. More screams can be heard from the prisoners as more old furniture and coffins catch fire. The Master's cloak has been burned to ash by this second fireball, but the creature is still alive, even though the fire has caused terrible wounds to it and burned away nearly all of his skin. It now looks like a smoldering piece of coal, hairless and skinless, but with eyes that burn with hatred and transfix Gaderon across the room.

(OOC: Greg, please make a ST vs magic for Gaderon. No bonusses in this case.)

It is also clearly visible to Gaderon and Ivid that the Master starts to regenerate damage - not at a quick rate, but nonetheless...

Weakened but determined, Ivid grabs his bow again and fires two arrows at the Master (OOC: I'm assuming he's using his precious +2 arrows in such dire straits.), with the first one hitting it.
Ivid's attacks:
Damage, first arrow: The damage is doubled to 16 as the Master is in point blank range.

While Ahi gathers up all pendants in this round, Kherim attacks furiously at the vampirette before him, and manages to bring her down with three swift strikes. Her body turns gaseous and floats towards one of the intact coffins...

Elmo continues attacking too, but - like Sol - is unable to kill the undead creature.

So the two remaining vampirettes get another attack. Sol, being the lucky guy in this battle, is once more able to defend himself, but Elmo isn't and gets drained by her.

OOC: Eilkhan needs to wait this round until the gaseous form completely entered the coffin. Next round she can try to open it and attack. How does she attack? At this level, she knows quite well that only staking it will stop regeneration.

Ivid's voice is hoarse, as he gets down on one knee, emptying his quiver on the ground, to be able to shoot faster.

And if not, well, he won't have any need for arrows any more.


The bowman will continue to fire at the Master, trying to keep his enemy busy, more than anything else.

Eilkhan rushes for the closest chair and smashes it to use a broken leg as a stake. From there she heads for the coffin that the Vampiress gaseous form has entered, broken chair leg in her hand. The other three legs of the chair remain on the ground, broken yet untaken.
