The heat coming from the hallway beyond the arch is not noticeable to Eilkhan anymore, due to the protective spell that Ahi placed upon her, and so she boldly crosses the archway and enters the hallway behind it. The stench of sulfur, heated metal, and other foul odors is still there though, and she can also still feel the evil and malice everywhere around.
Moving carefully forward, Eilkhan sees that the dark flames that burn with a rust-red light seem to spring forth from the stone of the pillars itself, producing shapes that remind her of prancing, leering devils and writhing humanoid forms. She even hears faint cries of torment and desperate pleas for aid coming from the fire.
The room at the end of the hallway is clearly a throne room of sorts, albeit a dark and gloomy one. Walls and ceiling are pitch black in color, and the double row of burning pillars leads directly towards the massive throne, cut from an amethyst-colored type of stone, on which the creature was sitting until recently. As far as Eilkhan can tell from this distance, there seems to be no trace of it left. There's no one here anymore.
