Gaderon holds up the boots of levitation and suggests "Eilkhan, you could use these to move over the anomaly so you can get a better picture of its size and determine if it is passable or not. If it is not passable we could deliberately trigger it by applying pressure with or pole or heavy object rather than actually walking on it or by stepping on it with one foot, transfering a persons weight to it, without removing the other foot from the safety of the solid floor. What do you think?"

Sol will use his sword to cast detect magic on the pressure plate/trap door.

Tizona detects no magic there.

"I'm not sure this is magical. If I can just deactivate it, we can pass through. Let me use the boots, that's a good idea." Once she has the boots on she'll move forward with them in the air and get a good look at the anamoly and how to deactivate it properly or at least the size etc.

"Best not rush", Kherim says. "We don't know what kind of trap it might be, triggering it might be bad even if we're not over it."

Eilkhan needs to levitate close to the ground to observe the suspicious area closely. It turns out to be an area of about 5' x 8', stretching from wall to wall and only recognizable by a slightly different color and structure than the rest of the floor. It might be everything from a cleverly piece of painted canvas to a trapdoor or pressure plate. Nothing hints at how to deactivate it.

Assuming Eilkhan relates what she finds, Ahi bites his lower lip in doubt.

"It's not magical... and it's not apparent if it is a trap. I think we'd better resource to absolute knowledge. I'll pray for Neith to reveal any trap in this place. Let me focus for a while."

Ahi retreats and casts Find Traps.

His spell reveals a trap to Ahi.

"Ahi, what did you find?" When he relates his results, the rogue avidly searches for the trap and how to deactivate it.

After a few minutes of careful examination, Eilkhan deducts that the floor here is one large trapdoor that will swing open after enough weight is placed on it. She can't tell though how much weight might be needed, and also not to which side the door will swing open.

"I'm afraid that's the extent of my help, Eilkhan." says Ahi.

Kherim adds "But it also seems to me we just need to avoid the pressing on the trapdoor. Levitating, bracing against the wall, fixing some ropes high on the wall, perhaps we can wade through"
