Gaderon replies "I would have to take it with me to where ever I send it. I can do two teleport spells, so I could leave it there and return by myself."

He then studies the height of the thing compared to the ceiling to determine if he can levitate over near it and still be high enough to be out of it's grasp before casting the first teleport spell.

Gaderon decides to risk getting close to the thing and cautiously levitates to a point just near enough to it to allow him to teleport with it to the room with the two spinxes in it (in the room off of the chamber that got burned up and across that chamber from the room with the demon statues and the cloak - I thought about leaving the creature there, too...) intending to arrive as close the the sphinxes as possible.

Once in the room, he will immediately move away from the creature. If the creature has grabbed him because he got too close, he will try to touch the sphinxes to activate them. Once there and free of the creature, he will verify that the door is closed and then teleport back to the group. If the door isn't closed he will close it before teleporting out of there.

Sir C, I think you would adjudicate Sol alone. Anyway, if Gaderon tells everyone about his plans, Kherim will stand ready to fight if the plan doesn't go as intended.
As for Ahi... I think he casts Protection from Evil on Gaderon. just in case. Does this prevent Gaderon from trying to teleport the mouther? If it does, then Ahi would know it I guess, so he instead casts Sanctuary on Gaderon. Actually, I think Sanctuary might be a better choice, so Sanctuary it is.

OOC:I'm sorry about the misunderstanding, Alex. The reason why I was waiting for you to post was indeed the possibility that Gaderon's plan fails...

Round 1: Initiative is par

While the creature continually oozes towards them, Kherim and Ahi notice that the closer it comes the deeper the quicksand becomes. Even though it's not a fast critter, they're both already knee-deep in the ground and Ahi only barely manages to place a sanctuary spell on Gaderon. The constant babbling of the abominable thing is nerve-wracking, but most of your group are able to withstand the strangely confusing effect that it has. All except Sol and Elmo that is. Pressing their hands to their ears, both warriors let out a cry of anguish and then pull out their weapons and attack Eilkhan and Ivid!

Quickly floating towards the creature, Gaderon tries to concentrate on his plan and not be distracted by the creatures' noises and the alarming shouts from his comrades. Stretching out his hand to touch the repugnant body he sees that a large cluster of eyes focuses on him - Ahi's spell has been broken! A long pseudopod filled with numerous toothy maws lurches towards him but gets deflected by the mage's magical protections. Then Gaderon establishes contact with the creature and both are whisked away in an instant.

Their sudden disappearance and the silence that follows has several immediate consequences. One is that Sol's and Elmo's condition returns back to normal, but the other one is that the quicksand also immediately returns back to stone which results in Kherim and Ahi being firmly rooted to the ground, their legs embedded in massive rock from knee to toe.

OOC: Please make a d% roll for Gaderon, Greg, to see whether the teleportation was successful.
