Passing through the black-pillared hall is without danger, and you all enter the opposite tunnel. It's noticeably slanting downward and leads you to the entrance of a dark and rough-hewn cave. The air here is damp, and the walls of the deserted-looking place glisten with moisture. Two tunnel entrances/exits can be seen on the opposite side.

Eilkhan moves forward slowly the top passage, sure that the source of water is here. SHe does her usual verification of traps and surprises. Using her Gem of seeing to help with light source of course.

OOC@tarlyn: You're talking about a gem of brightness here and not a gem of seeing, don't you? The difference is important....

OOC: The characer sheet copy that I have here says that it's a gem of brightness, which means that it's able to shed a significant amount of light in a large area. A gem of seeing, however, enables the user to view secret and hidden things, view through illusions, and detect invisible and out-of-phase items or creatures, very similar to the cleric spell true seeing. As I said, a big difference. And since I don't know about Eilkhan's original intentions, I thought I'd better ask. In case she only wants to shed more light into the cave, then her gem of brightness will certainly do the job. If her intention was to get help for detecting or finding anything, then I fear that she can't do it unless she gets support from Ahi and a true seeing spell.

The light from the little gem in Eilkhan's hand is extremely bright and forces you all to avert your eyes for a few moments until you got used to it. While traversing the cave, the thief carefully searches for traps but finds none. On the opposite side, two more tunnels still lead further on. This time, both are blocked by heavy iron portcullises.

Eilkhan begins looking on the walls, floor and even ceiling for where there might be a secret door or compartment to open the
portcullises.
