Finishing up, Sol says "Shall we go to the next door then?" With that he will proceed to the next door to the left (logical west on the map). As he goes he will scan the main chamber for any changes, especially the doors and the stairs with the adamanite bars...

Nothing in the hall has changed and so you all proceed towards the next door. Behind it lies yet another dusty side room of the same size as the two others before. Standing on a table at the righthand wall are a dozen figurines of monstrous creatures from the Duat, both undead and demonic looking, closely grouped around two items: A fist-sized scarab, seemingly made of pure gold, and a saffron-yellow cloak lying beneath it.

An evil aura is immediately noticeable for Kherim, obviously coming from the group of figurines.

Eilkhan advances on the scarab, not touching it. "Guys, I am not that agile with magic and curses on objects. If this or these are in fact cursed, maybe it be best if we detect as much first before I even try to get a feel for the scarab and cloak?"


Ahi says "I can detect curse in that general area as a precaution, Eilkhan."


She looks back at him and nods, moving away. Ahi grips his holy symbol and offers up a prayer to his deity, then looks at the cloak and scarab.

Cast Detect Curse and observing the cloak and the Scarab.

From her closer observation of the two items, Eilkhan figures that it might be very difficult to get them without somehow touching the evil demonic figurines first, as they're grouped very close around the cloak and the scarab. Ahi meanwhile detects no curses on the two items.

"I think the scarab might be just valuable, but it doesn't interest me at all. The cloak might be more interesting. Those figurines are evil, very strongly so. I still think it could be worth to dare them to get at the cloak."

He is expecting them to turn into something life-sized and very much alive and hostile, but he does nothign else at the moment than to get ready for a fight.

Gaderon takes interest in the scene as well and attempts to ready himself setting marks to pages dealing with both the removal of curses and more direct methods of combating anything that may arise from handling the objects. The breadth of the magic in this tomb is quite extensive and yet the evil tainting of the majority is quite bothersome for any serious perusal by his mind. After previous events colored his mind about the place he would consider being done with the it all together.

"If there is the same worry as before then perhaps the same caution is in order as for the hammer. The contents are misleading but if nothing came of the previous evil figurines then a simple tug of a rope once more may have the needed results. But any item of magical prominence should be explored especially if evil, as the destruction of said items and their master is our goal."
