The Wayfarer's Inn

After his preparations and clearing the ash from his clothes Gaderon stands up and looks at the others...

"Should we see what mystery this small room that sheltered us contains before we travel onward into the others? The magic emanating from within is cause for concern is it not?"

He waits for a response from the wandering group members!

Eilkhan looks at the stone doors then back at the others. "I will inspect the doors for surprises."

Ahi helps Gaderon with the inspecting of the ash.

Sol will follow behind Eilkhan as she searches for traps and things to provide protection, should something unexpected happen...

Kherim agrees with Gaderon and offers any help his arm can give.
"Evil magic is always a concern, Gaderon. But please, be careful and try not to release it somehow."

Kherim stays close enough to give Gaderon the Protection from Evil effect.

Nothing unexpected happens. Eilkhan's thorough search reveals no traps on the doors.

Gaderon will begin a search of the area as well using the end of his cane to sift through the ash... Once however that is done he will go to the room and begin to examine and inventory the figurines in the small room not touching yet, as he concentrates his examinations on the area the evil was detected...

Nothing can be found within the remains of the hall. The figurines are either weird warthog-headed men or turtle-men. They're all made of ceramic and radiate magic, as does the mysterious bundle on the table. An aura of evil is strongly present within the room, having no detectable source as far as Kherim can tell.

What can you say about the bundle? Is it covered by cloth, does it have any discernible shape? How big is it? Is there nothing else on the table?

Then Kherim tries to lift the cloth with the tip of his sword, uncovering what's beneath.
He does this at arm's length, if possible.
