"I can wait until the smoke and fire dies out. Let's wait, Sol. Maybe a spell could get rid of the fire, thus eliminating the smoke" Ahi says to Gaderon.

Gaderon deflates slightly and tiredly sits reclining against the wall near the door, turning his head to look at the cloth to see if it needs more water yet.

"Perhaps Ahi... But it is not one that I have prepared this day... Otherwise I would have cast it out there to give us more time... Each time I try to gather my magics I have been dividing my focus on things I expect, versus things I have not foreseen... Too much of it was prepared to aveng... To combat the evil in this place... I thought I had covered much of what would keep us safe as well... I will add this to the list of my misjudgments and try to prepare better from now on!"

Gaderon's words sound tired and drawn as if he is slightly out of breath, but carry the same tone as always, and yet the seeming energy of moments before has left him. His head sags slightly but only once. It is soon once more firmly in place and watching the door, showing a ragged but ridged resolve in his body...

OOC: Next line for Sol mainly as only he should know this in character...

Only Sol can see Gaderon's face as he spoke this time and he had been looking past him to the door as if not there, but the emotion on his face, at times though not matching his tone had played out almost as if he were confessing to a priest. It had been a moment of genuine meaning spoken to them all, but it faded back into that more composed and stern shell quickly.

After waiting about an hour, with the expectation that the fire would have died down in that time. Sol will get up, draw his sword and turn to face the door. "Shall I open the door?" Assuming that nobody objects he will open the door with his free hand. Once the door is opened, he will draw his dagger and take on the nearest savage.

Ahi casts create water only if there is still a fire. He readies his rod in case one beast gets by Sol. Eilkhan , meanwhile
nocks an arrow in her bow and waits to use it if the need arises.

When Sol stands, after an hour, and communicates his intention of opening the door, Kherim says.

"Wait, that might not be a good idea. Touch the door first, see if it is still hot. We can also raise the cloth from the door slightly and see if there is still smoke or light from the blaze. We should be careful, we do not want to contaminate our air. Let's avoid exposing it before it's too soon."

Per Kherim's suggestion, Sol will touch the door first to test for heat. If it seems to have cooled some, he will then try lifting the cloth to determine if smoke starts coming into the room. If both tests pass, he will then open the door and draw his dagger in his left hand as he originally planned...

The door feels warm to the touch, but not hot. Lifting the wet cloth, Sol sees no smoke coming through and so pulls out his dagger and opens the door.

Immediately, smoke comes rolling in. It's not as much as you feared, but it still enough to make you cough and squint your eyes. The fire has obviously gone out in the meantime, but the savages are still there, smelling a bit like roasted bacon, but attacking ferociously.

OOC: Sol, Ahi, and Eilkhan already stated their intended actions. What about Gaderon and Kherim? Will they do something?

"Our position is tactically bad. Only Sol can strike at the savages and is being attacked by two. The others can not attack from far because they could hit Sol.

We should try to lure two of them into the room and close the door before the others!"

He will position himself to push the door with strength as soon as Sol and Ahi retreat into the room and bring 1 or 2 savages with them, if everyone agrees. I think Kherim could be helped by someone to close the door more forcefully. The others should back awat a bit to make room for everyone.

Ahi brandishes his symbol "IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY AND GOOD I COMMAND THE GET YE GONE FROM THIS PLACE AND RETURN WHENCE YOU CAME!"

Gaderon will simply move back and prepare to cast a magic missile from his wand on which ever target presents it's self first. He however will be sure to stay away from the items in the room...
