Please tell me how you intend to open the door again. I'm asking because combat against the remaining savages is more than likely, and the entrance to the room is narrow, which means that there'll be a 1:1 combat situation at the open door, and I'd like to know who will be facing them.

Sol was leaning against the door. I assume that he can hear whether there is any sound coming from the other side of the door. When the sound of the fire is gone, it might be ok. If he still hears pounding on the door, he can alert the others and we can collectively decide what to do next...

I was thinking in game we should wait an hour at the most unless it sounds as if the fire is not out for some reason or it is out earlier by the sound of things...
An hour would give the fire some time to burn through it's fuel, and the smoke to dissipate, though since it was indeterminate on how much fuel or if any was magical, I cannot be 100% on this.
Still there is the gas and I hope that like the smoke it is also somewhat at the least dissipated.
Why I chose an hour for the time is just that I don't know how much air we truly have left, and by the discription of the room I have to wing it as it seems small.

As for leaving the room I think the more physical types should go first, but other than that I have no other opinion.

Well, I agree with Sol and AG. I'd guess sound could be a good hint on whether the fire has died. Problem, on the other hand, is unless Ahi still has some healing left, we're out of healing abilities at the moment. Kherim is below 50% hp and Sol is probably around that mark too. I don't really know how tough Elmo and Ivid are, nor at which point Ahi is. So if we open for another battle, we may have problems if we have to face more than those savages. Altogether, though, main problem must be smoke and gas.

Given this reasoning, I wouldn't be against resting until we recovered healing abilities, though I think that might well take a while and I don't know if we have enough air or if the DM would be willing. I suppose there's nothing like Leomund's Tiny Hut or Rope Trick in this edition of the game, is there?

P.S.: Actually, I checked. Both exist and they're levels 3 and 2 respectively. Gaderon doesn't happen to know either of these, does he AG?
