The Wayfarer's Inn

Kherim helps the others moving inside the compartment. He'll go in last, assuring that all his companions are safe before he is.

As Gaderon enters, he looks to the others even before they have fully entered and with a sharp demand in his eyes and voice he shouts...

"(Cough!) Pass me your water, extra clothes and extra cloth as quickly as you can! (Cough! Cough!) Hurry!!! Once you've done this, help me soak it and frame this door with the wet cloth!!!"

He begins to soak the cloth that comes and then crams it into the cracks so as to form a seal but not stop the door from closing. He also prepares himself to watch this seal using what ever water is left to keep it moist and working as the fire could take some time. In the back of his mind racing through other ideas he hopes the air they have left when the door closes will be enough...

Round 3

After Sol quickly reassured himself that there's an opening mechanism on the door's inside, you all enter the small side room with Kherim going last, which means that he has to fend off two attacking slave-warriors.

OOC: Please make attack rolls for Kherim against the savages. I'll resolve this combat round within the next posting.

Otherwise it's another 10 points of fire damage for Kherim, Elmo, and Gaderon as they are the last who enter the room due to their longer exposure to the hostile surroundings.

Ok, here come 3 attacks for Kherim, given that he's got 2.5 attacks per round.

Concentrate all attacks on one single savage until/if he falls. Don't know if I have missed something.

Furthermore, Kherim's AC is -1, but due to permanent Protection From Evil, enemies strike at -2, so don't forget that, please

Round 4

Kherim wins initiative.

Even though still weakened by the poisonous gas, the paladin's gleaming scimitar cuts through shield and dead flesh alike, killing one of the slave warriors with three well-aimed attacks. The other one clumsily swings his club at Kherim who dodges the attacks easily, jumps back and slams the door shut.
Breathing heavily, you all seem to be safe - for the moment....

Kherim looks at the others quickly, trying to understand their injuries. The paladin has suffered badly, but as the direst damage was from the fire, he reckons most of his companions might be in worse conditions.

"So, friends, this time we were duly and thoroughly tested. Having dragged us in, our enemy is now closing his maw. Who needs the assistance of Horus? We have to recover our strengths before daring these corridors again, I'm afraid. And we don't know what other perils await us. All the magic in this room is not necessarily reassuring."

He looks around with a doubtful but piercing glance.

Sol replies to Kherim "I can use my sword's power to heal my wounds, thank you. Use your powers to help those who can't heal themselves..." Sol will use all of Tizona's CLW spells to recover as much damage as possible (Sol is currently down 61 hp, but he still has 49 to go, so he is not in trouble).

Ahi will use the spell heal on the one who needs it the most.

Sol is healed 13 hps by his sword.

Ahi's heal spell goes to Elmo, who looks as if he's the most wounded of your group, although Gaderon comes close to that.

While Ahi cures Elmo, Kherim notices the next on the line would be Gaderon. He recites a prayer to Horus to empower his hands with healing magic, and cures Gaderon.
