can you tell me what are the effects of the stat drains Kherim suffered? For instance, does it reduce to hit and damage bonuses?

Also, how can those points be recovered in 1st Ed?

To answer your question, Ail: Kherim's current STR 8 means no disadvantages for him (at least not combat-wise). He loses his damage bonus of course. CON 6 means no actual effect on combat either. As far as I see it, the main effect comes into play through roleplaying.

Gaderon OTOH has -2 to hit and -1 Damage due to a STR score of only 6.

As to your question of how to get it back. In case it's not only a temporary loss (which you don't know yet of course) this means a restoration spell or a wish.
