Kherim follows the previous way, and assuming nothing would happen, he gets to the last safe spot identified by Eilkhan.

If anything looks different now, though, he'll stop before.

You all return to the last flight of stairs that leads to the entrance of the large room. Eilkhan reminds you that the floor below the last stair seems to be weight sensitive.

Sol says "Eilkhan, can you tell us how far into the room the floor is likely to be a trigger to the trap in the entry to the room?" Sol is wondering if he can jump far enough to get past the weight sensitive floor...

Kherim waits for Eilkhan's answer to Sol, but meanwhile suggests

"We could always try to test the floor without necessarily trying our weight. There should be ample debris in the zodiacs room to give enough weight to the test."

Sol turns to Kherim and says "You are a fount of wisdom today. Of course, it would be better to have set off the trap before we pass it, so that we will know what we are dealing with when we have entered the room, just in case we have to make a hasty exit. Does anyone else have any other thoughts on how to proceed? Or shall I go up to the zodiac room and bring down a big chunk of stone to throw out on this floor to see what happens?"

Eilkhan answers "Every square is pressure sensitive. Listen, I could spend all day trying to deactivate it, but I think the best idea is to trigger it so we get it out of the way. Perhaps tie a big piece of the dial arrow to a rope and deactivate it from here. This way we are relatively safe from any harm. What do you think of that?"

Ivid yawns and stretches himself.

"So, any news? - So, there are some teleporters. Well, at least you came in one peace... And not in many."

Sol says "Ok, I will go get something appropriate from the zodiac room and bring it back down here." With that he will go back up the stairs and look for an approproate chunk of rock or metal to use to trigger the trap...
