The interesting question is: Would he be willing to play a paladin? I know many players who really don't like that character class.

I doubt he;d have a problem. He has the site addy and I told him
that playing 1st ed is a lot like 2nd ed. Told him to get in touch with you via pm here. I can also give him your email addy if you like.

I've dropped Rafe a PM to open the site for registration again - it was locked for quite some time now because of the spam flooding that we had. And yes, you can give him my email address, that would be nice.

I've arrived. Guess that answers the previous questions, huh?
No, how long will my character last? That's the real question.
Just as a side information, I never played at this high a level without Save & Load facilities, so. I'm sorry, but I have to be frank. I may do some dumb things :-(
