Gaderon keeps scanning though now slightly frustratedly with his eyes... Then with a slight nod he addresses Ahi's suggestion. "Yes, I believe that is perhaps the right choice... The shrine is best avoided and if observed then from a distance until we understand the lay of the room, and any possible dangers within."

"Ok I agree. Want me to check out the room for traps?"

Sol replies to Eilkhan "Please do..." He then moves over near the shrine, watching it intently with his weapons ready.

Moving forward slowly, Eilkhan goes about her task with diligence, not missing a single spot.

OOC: Am I right that Eilkhan wants to avoid touching things while searching the room, and avoids searching the immediate area around the shrine?

IC: As far as Eilkhan can tell, there are no traps within this hall. At least no mechanical traps. She is unsure about the statues and pillars though because she didn't dare to touch them for further examination. These two buttons in the central pillar might be trap triggers, of course, but then she has no chance to verify this without pressing them....

Once she is satisfied that she's done, she relates to the others
her findings "So without touching anything, I can't know. I really don't feel like touching anything either, to be honest. So now what? Maybe with something long, like a pole, from the entrance I could use that to touch the buttons? This way we're all out of the room and safe."

Sol looks at the spear in his left hand and says "Ok, I can do that, unless someone else wants to?" He looks around at the others for a volunteer.

If no one volunteers, he will wait for the others to get out into the hallway, sheath his sword, get in the best position he can, grit his teeth and press the button with the spear.
