Taking the burnished lamp from the pedestal, the paladin intones a prayer as he begins to pour a bit of the oil over the head of the idol, then lays his own hand atop the idol's sculpted pate.

The feeling of well-being continues until the statuettes have been anointed. Thereafter both thief and paladin feel some kind of powerful force (Ra? Herakhty?) willing to assist them.

Nothing of this is noticeable to the rest of the party who carefully observe the two performing the ritual.

"Neith is not represented here, and I cannot engage in such rituals while in this place," Ahi will say with a look of concern and will keep a closer eye on the paladin and thief.

Turning towards the others, the paladin has a look of peace upon his countenance, "Do not fear Ahi, these are the brethren of Neith and reverence to them is not an act the war goddess would spurn. They will aid us in our task."

Sol, seeing that no ham came to the others, lowers his bow and goes over to the statue of Shu, where he duplicates the ceremony that he saw Kherim perform.

Sol feels the very same effect as Eilkhan and Kherim.

It seems as if no one else wants to perform the ritual. So what will you do next?

Seeing no other exits to this chamber and perceiving no danger here, Sol will move back to his position by the entrance with his bow ready, watching down the hall.
