Ivid is busy collecting his arrows...

"Woah, this was indeed a tough one... Darn bugs! Be sure to stay away from these items! All herein appears to be cursed."

While you're deep in thought about the future of the three items that the mummy has left behind, the fire inside the burial chamber dies down and the amount of smoke is now so much reduced that you all are able to enter the chamber again and take a look around.

While the wooden shrine has been completely destroyed by the fire, the treasure in the recesses on both sides is largely undamaged. The wooden sarcophagus that held the mummy is also reduced to a heap of glowing ash and charcoal. Partly buried beneath it, you notice a strange magical glowing. Something black and golden can be seen - a rod or crook probably...

Still holding the spear he picked up earlier, Sol will go back into the burial chamber again and check out the treasures on the left side of the chamber. He will let the others check out the rod or crook where the sarcophagus was...

Ahi will activate his talisman, inwardly hoping it isn't in vain like his last two castings. Check out the burial chamber and the glowing object.

Already used to the mean surprises this tomb has given them, Ivid puts an arrow on his bow and waits...

The power of the amulet reveals a highly unusual and powerful aura of magic and evil around the item beneath the ashes of the burned sarcophagus. In fact, the aura reminds Ahi a lot of the four evil items that he and his comrades found earlier during this adventure in the village of Aartuat and within the Temple of Osiris, and that are tied to their quest in some mysterious way. Could it be another one? Easily looking through the ashes that cover it, Ahi sees that it's a kind of scepter, about 2 feet in length, its upper half made of gold and shaped like a lightning bolt. The tip of the scepter is crowned by an ugly and demonic looking ram's head. The lower half of the scepter is probably carved from ebony and wrapped in a pale leather that is most likely a piece of human skin. On it are hieroglyphs and a depiction of a jackal-headed Set.

The amulet reveals nothing more to Ahi within this chamber.

The treasure heap on the left side of the chamber consists of several chests, jars, bowls, mirrors, all of the finest materials and workmanship. Spilled around these are pieces of jewelry, weapons, pieces of armor and even a few single gems and gold coins.

Kherim approaches the sceptre and reaches out with his feelings to see if he feels the presence of evil upon the wand.

OOC: Detect evil

Ahi tells others of what he found, "considering the powerful and evil magic associated with this scepter, it is likely akin to the other evil items we found, I believe it may fall upon me to bear it."

OOC: Everyone else is already carrying one, yes? Ahi will take his turn carrying this one if there is nothing else found out about it.

Hearing Ahi, Sol looks up from the treasure pile and offers "I am not carrying any of the evil relics. If we are each to bear one, I could take either the scepter or the mummy's mask. I just figured you spell casters were better able to deal with these things than a common warrior like me..."
