Again, there's seemingly no danger involved in opening the scrolls - those that Ahi can open at all that is, because most of them molder to dust as soon as he touches them or picks them up. Those that are in a slightly better condition reveal fragments of religious texts.

Ivid prefers his scimitar, so he takes the battleaxe down the hall to Elmo "Look Elmo, is this something you would like?" Elmo puts down his own battleaxe and tries out Rahotep's to get a feel for it compared to his personal weapon.

I'll move on to the staff and check that out. Want us all to be ready if we're going to open any coffers!

Kherim, tightens his grip upon his own scimitar as he watches over those within the chamber.

The staff is absolutely useless. It is half-rotted due to an infestation with woodworms a long time ago.

Elmo's not sure about that axe. It has a different design than his own axe and is therefore differently balanced and is also a bit heavier. It might be better than his but than maybe not.

Ahi moves over to his comrades. "We're checking out the weapons first and then the coffers? I'm uncomfortable with two dead ends. The question that the evil one is wasting our time and efforts from the main objective was a good one." Sorry don't know who brought that up, Kherim? Sheesh, not even traps to wear us down... likely the weapons are cursed though, so there's hope!

Ivid says "Well, perhaps you can take it with you and we can decide what to do with it later." Leaving the battleaxe with Elmo, Ivid returns to the room to check out whether there is any treasure here other than the musty scrolls.
