We'll start gaming the next week then.  I'll write an announcement email to all participants to let them know and then we'll see who's there and who isn't.  tarlyn, could you give me your email address?  Sometimes it's better to contact people via email, especially when there are attachments like maps, pictures and so on.

One more question:  Since we have decided not to play the whole Necropolis campaign but only its last part, how much are you interested in getting a detailed introduction and background story?  I could make a writeup of anything that comes before, but this would be quite lengthy and would take some time to write.  The other option would be to simply start at the tomb's entrance with only a very brief introduction, leaving out the whole background of the campaign.  I would leave this decision up to you.

My email I'll send via p.m ;) As for introduction and such, do our pc's need to know all that if we are just going to be going into the dungeon?

Not necessarily.  There are a few magical items that your group possesses (found during the earlier stages of the campaign and needed in the final chapter) but that's about all.  I'll post them tomorrow or tuesday and you have to decide who carries them.

Besides that, we can of course make it a dungeon crawl without background - an introduction would be mainly for the flavor. :)

PS - Thanks for the email addy.

My experience with online and PBEM games showed me that it is most useful to appoint one player as the group's caller.  There are often situations in which minor decisions have to be made, and in these it speeds up play immensely when the caller decides what the group does.  It also helps whenever some players cannot post regularly - as will certainly be the case here.  Since we're currently only three - tarlyn, Rafael and Mark - one of you should do this job.

Hi all, good to join your group.  Some might know me from Dragonsfoot where I have become a pretty regular poster.  I have been playing 1st edition AD&D since 1980 when I was just a little guy.  I usually play magic-users but I think I'll try something different this time around, I am interested in creating a paladin for this campaign if that is OK with Sir Clarence. :)

Welcome to our little group, RedWizard.  Great to have you with us! :)

Since this is a one-shot game, I don't object against a paladin and a thief in the same group.  Hope that this is okay for you, guys.

So far everyone has created his character all by himself.  So there you go, RedWizard!  :)  If you have any questions, please email me in private.

Heydee all,

Need any healing?  :-D

Just figuring how to join/navigate yadda-yadda. I'm a DF guy as well, though recently I seem to be RedWizard's shadow!

Lets get to steppin'! Rahotep here we come!

Sir Clarence, I PMed you my character stats over on DF.  Long live the noble and pious Augustus Pallantides, paladin of Zeus!

Seeing as you are using the Egyption mythos I assumed the Greek one would be around as well.
