OOC: Time for a new thread.... IC: Levitating down, Ahi sees before him a 10-foot-wide hallway, hewn from solid sandstone. Like Eilkhan said, it has obviously been unused for centuries. At the end of the 20-foot-long passage is a slab of familiar appearance: a stone block, granite, typical of others Ahi has seen used to seal areas of the Tomb. Hieroglyphs are inscribed upon it, and immediately below is the now instantly readable cartouche of Rahotep. Since his spell reveals no traps to him, Ahi slowly moves along the passage, stirring up clouds of dust as he does so. The inscription is as follows: Strike the name of Rahotep nine times. The stone will then be sundered and your progress unimpeded. |

Sol lowers himself using the rope we used earlier. As he goes down he says "Do we want to check out the crypt before we go down the newly exposed passage? It bothers me to leave it behind us, unchecked. Something dangerous could strike us in the back...." |

Ahi comes back and answers Sol. "Yes, I share your worries. I prefer to examine the tomb first" |

"Yes, yes, Sir. Very much do we want that." Gadheron let out a sound very much akin to a gnarl. The idea that he had had to pay the dues for the group's earlier imprudence still annoyed him, and more than he let show. Just conclude the mission, folks. Because I won't take one for the group again. Gadheron tensed for a moment, then forced himself to a nervous smile. |

"So, we are all in agreement. Do you want me to try to move or break the lid? Or should Eilkhan check it for traps first?" |

"I don't think there were any traps in that direction", Ahi says, "but sure, why not check once more?" "Anyway, as soon as we're satisfied, let's go and break away that stone", Kherim adds. |

Gadheron shrugs, still somber. |

Ahi's find traps spell is still active. Will he check out the vault instead of Eilkhan? |

Sol will use Tizona's power to detect magic on the vault while the others are detecting traps. |

Strong magic emanates from within the vault. This can be detected by Tizona even through the stone walls. |
