Blocked by Kherim, and after a failed attempt to ward off the mummy-zombies attacking him, Ahi tries to help his other companions. He moves to the front line, past Gaderon, and Touches Eilkhan just enough to confer her the protectio of Neith against the dreadful evil in front of her.

Things get worse as Sol is overwhelmed by the mummies' fear aura. Clattering, his sword Tizona falls to the ground, unable to be held any longer with a firm grasp by the warrior's shaking hand.

Being the only one who's obviously able to resist the despair that surrounds the mummies, Elmo continues to hack away at his opponent, but misses this time.
Elmo's attack:

A wink of an eye later, a huge ball of fire blooms in the hall behind the mummies, engulfing the undead but unfortunately Ivid as well, as the spell wasn't placed as well as Gaderon intended.

The three affected mummies are the one that attacks Eilkhan, and the two which attack Ivid. None of them goes down, although the fire does terrible damage to them. Fortunately, the ranger didn't take the full damage from the fire and doesn't look that badly damaged.

Having waited before the mage has completed his spell, Ahi moves past Gaderon and casts protection from evil on Eilkhan.

Fending off the dreadful mummy-zombies all alone, Kherim fights with all the fervor that an angry paladin of Horus can feel inside. Both his attacks hit for a total of 22 points of damage, but it's still not enough to kill the thing or to even slow it down.
Chance for Critical Hits:

Pressing in on you, the undead creatures attack ferociously and with mindless determination. Sol, Ivid, and Eilkhan, who are unable to defend themselves are easy targets now, of course.
Sol gets hit by a bandaged fist once for 10 points of damage and loses yet another point of wisdom.
The burning mummy in front of Eilkhan seems to be distracted by the fire and misses the thief this time.
Ivid only gets hit by one mummy, the other one being too busy to deal with the engulfing flames. Damage is 12 plus the loss of 1 point of wisdom.
Elmo gets hit for the first time, taking 7 points of damage and the drain of 1 point of wisdom.

Ahi tries to aim a Remove Paralysis spell such that it affects Ivid, Eilkhan and Sol.

Kherim keeps on hacking at the mummies in front of him.

Gaderon will attempt to drop a fireball on the mummies facing Kherim. He will aim for the three in the back rather than risk hitting Kherim with it.

With a surprising display of combat experience and quickness, Kherim's opponent breaks through the paladin's defense and buries its long claws deep within him. Worse still, he also gets bitten by the unclean thing. As the black teeth rip out a mouthful of his flesh, Kherim feels that the undead creature also attempts to drain away some of his strength. The total damage that he takes this round is 21.

OOC: Please make a ST vs magic for Kherim to avoid the drain.

Mummy-zombie attacks:

The mummies in the hall continue their attacks on their helpless (except for Elmo) victims.
Sol gets hit once, but his helplessness allows the mummy to hit him perfectly - a critical hit for triple damage! Sol takes 36 points of damage from the powerful fist attack and is knocked to the ground, unable to remain on his feet. Another point of wisdom is also drained away. OOC: Sol has now lost 95 hit points and is seriously injured.
It's hard to believe, but the unmoving Eilkhan remains unharmed once more, the mummy being unable to hit her.
Ivid is hit once again for 11 points of damage and 1 point of wisdom.
Elmo gets hit too, for 7 points of damage and the loss of 1 point of wisdom.

Retreating towards his friends, Kherim hacks away at the fearsome undead, hitting twice this time for 23 points of damage, which is still not enough to bring it down.

Then another one of Gaderon's fireballs detonates at the far end of the narrow passage, engulfing the three other mummy-zombies wile they're about to follow into the passage. Damage is 44, but it's not enough to kill them. Smoldering, they stagger forward after Kherim...

Fireball damage:

Ahi barely manages to finish his spell, because the mummy that knocked down Sol now breaches the gap and closes in on him, stepping over the still unmoving warrior. Strangely, Ahi's remove paralysis spell only seems to work on Ivid. Cursing, the bowman suddenly breaks free from the magical efect and immediately resumes attacking the mummy directly in front of him. He hits once, for a mere 5 points of damage.
