Kherim advances a bit to test the heat coming from the room.

"It is warm, but not impossibly hot. We can run to the other side, I wager. Still, Sol is right about traps. Eilkhan cannot detect them without danger. So, let me ask for the boons of Horus on this one."

Kherim casts his Find Traps spell and directs it towards the room, in search for any trap.

He enters the room from the spot where he had directed his spell and advances just until the spell ranges to the opposite wall. If the path is totally clear, he runs to the other corridor.

OOC: I don't remember if each square on the map is 10' side or 5'. If 5', then the spell would cover a whole path between two opposite openings of the room. But I think you had said 10', in which case it stays short. This would imply going to the middle of the room fast, focusing on the spell and then running to the other side.

As the paladin's spell detects no traps as he crosses the room, you all quickly follow one by one. The heat is intense, but not unbearable for such a short time, and nothing dangerous happens as you do so. Entering the corridor on the other side, you see a short flight of stairs leading upwards for about 20 feet, with the tunnel seemingly continuing onward thereafter. Kherim detects no trap on the stairs.

OOC: One square on the map = 5 feet.

If no one opposes, Kherim will continue exploring the corridor and ignoring the stairs while his spell works. Just to see how far it goes, or if there are more rooms like the ones we left behind. There seems to be a theme working here.

OOC: The corridor indeed continues onward, but on top of the stairs. Since they're only 20 feet high it can be seen from the bottom. Sorry for the confusion.

Hurrying through the heat to the other corridor, Kherim sees another flight of stairs leading upward. On its top, he sees another corridor continuing onward. Again, there are no traps detectable.
