After this harshly shouted warning Gaderon will move to get into better range to cast Disintegrate on it but only if the others are safely clear of the possible effect hovering as close to the blob as seems safe, to lower the risk of someone moving into the spells path.

Round 2: The party wins initiative

While Gaderon and Ahi cast their spells, Kherim hacks away with fury at the disgusting creature. His first attack is a hit, scoring 15 points of damage on the thing, but as he withdraws his scimitar from the slimy body he sees wisps of smoke rising up from the blade as if he held it into a puddle of acid. OOC: Please make an item ST for Kherim's weapon, Ail.

Then both Ahi's and Gaderon's spell hit the creature simultaneously and one or both of them blast it into nothingness before it can attack Kherim once more.

OOC: Hopefully the paladin's weapon isn't destroyed. Otherwise it's 1400 XPs for each one who battled the amoeba-thing.

Well, it's an unmodified 8 for the saving throw.
I don't know if any modifiers apply, as the scimitar is a +3 weapon. Also, the inherent +2 on all saves of the paladin might help, but I don't know if that would be within the rules.

Also, I don't remember. In a ST, should we roll high or low, in AD&D? I remember some rolls begged for low numbers, but don't know which.

Gaderon decends and begins to remove the vile of alcohol and his water skin and begins to douse the weapon in each substance to try and see if either will have an effect... An item of this quality should not be destroyed so.

Meanwhile, Eilkhan now takes percious time investigating the lower room, trying to discern where the floor is weight sensitive. At the same time she looks for a trigger, abling/disabling device.

Kherim feels very much relieved that his scimitar held, and after Gaderon is done with verifying the weapon, he proceeds to examine the place where the blob was and, moreover, where the plynth was.
He attempts to see if there is anything of interest previously hidden by the plynth and if there remains any trace of it or the blob.

As far as Eilkhan can tell, the whole floor area at the base of the last set of stairs is weight sensitive - unfortunately she can't tell how far into the room this area reaches...

Gaderon's treatment of the scimitar was helpful and the weapon looks just fine now, although maybe a bit dull in those places that have been longer exposed to the vile fluids of the creature. The plinth itself is gone and nothing was left behind.
