A wink of an eye before Gaderon finishes his wall of fire, the evil one casts a spell himself. Gaderon, even though concentrating on his own magic, witnesses how the mummy fades out of sight and disappears. Then the wall of fire springs up, but Gaderon isn't so sure anymore that is of any use anymore as Rahotep's disappearance looked suspiciously as if he became ethereal...

OOC: Only so much for round 5! With Rahotep gone (for the moment), what are your immediate actions? Will Kherim continue to leave the pit under these circumstances? No new map needed for now, I guess.

Sol's 3 CLW spells: 5, 7, 6 for a total of 18 hp. He is now at 93 hp, only down 17 hp at the moment.

In these circumstances there is little I would do, honestly.
What would be the consequences of casting Dispel Magic here currently?
in terms of current enchantments and magic objects that we're carrying.

Sol calls out to the others "It looks like Rahotep has vanished! Do you see any signs of him up there? How about in the chamber with the statues?"

As he does so, he will venture back into the crypt to see if he can find anything. He will use Tizona's powers to detect if anything magical remains in the crypt.

Kherim focuses on his Detect Evil ability and tries to use it as a radar to locate Rahotep. Ahi will get out of the pit and prepare to cast a Major Ward, just in case.

Gadheron will cast Stoneskin on himself. If Kherim's spell does not bear any result, he will cast a "Detect Invisibility".

Three rounds pass uneventful. Sol heals himself and searches through the rubble that remains of the crypt, locating the black, star-shaped object amidst the pieces of rock. It is strangely free of any dirt or dust and reflects no light that falls on it.

Ahi, who had already left the pit before, casts major ward, while Gaderon, still accompanied by the huge hand, protects himself with stoneskin.

"Look out! He returns!" Eilkhan's shout lets you turn around, seeing that Rahotep manifests himself about 20 feet away from Eilkhan and Ahi in the upper hall.

So....

OOC: Please declare your actions for the next round of combat. Sol, Kherim and Gaderon are down in the pit, while Ahi and Eilkhan are up in the hall, facing Rahotep. I'm sorry for the crude map, but I had little time today. It should serve its purpose though.

I've been also busy, moving house in less that 2 weeks. So, the intention of the major ward was to have the whole group inside it, and since Rahotep is 20ft away that should leave him well out.

Sol will attempt to pick up the black star shaped thingy. If nothing happens when he picks it up he will put it in his haversack to check out later. Then he will attempt to get up the rope to the upper level, if Kherim is already on the rope, Sol will wait his turn...

If Gadheron has a clean overview of the situation, he will float upwards, and either cast Chain Lightning, or, after yelling at his friends to "JUMP!!!" into the pit, he will summon a Delayed Blast Fireball to the area Rahotep is presently standing in.
