The Wayfarer's Inn

Ok, so before we leave the room, Kherim heals Elmo for 6hp, using another CLW.

After the demon appears, Kherim becomes enraged at the ultimatum from the demon thing. Aware that there is no safe ground beneath it, he tries to turn the thing away.

"Vile thing of Darkness, you are not even worth of an answer from us. That the light of Horus the avenger and all the Gods of Goodness strike you down into the oblivion you deserve. Begone foul thing and harass us no more!"

(OOC: Turn undead attempt, of course)

Ivid laughs openly with his comrades, and sets three arrows free against the monstrous creature...

"This vaguely reminds me of a tale I have heard about some nothing-for-good adventuring party from that country you come from, Sol! The Company of the Maiden, those are called!"

Ahi faces the thing and brandishes his holy symbol in his hand. FOUL DEMON! RETURN TO WHENCE YOU CAME!

Eilkhan gets into a safe position and removes the ladder from her bag, aiming it at the beast. She concentrates on the 4th power and hopes it banishes the thing to whatever plane it callls home.

The result of your combined assault on the human-headed vulture is spectacular and probably not what you expected. Hit by Ivid's arrows and Sol's spear, confronted with the holy symbols of both Horus and Neith, and attacked by the magic of the Netherladder and Gaderon's spell, the thing emits a horrid screeching noise. It whirls upward, then plunges down and falls into the shaft beneath it.

"Whoa!" Sol sheaths his sword, pulls out his bow, rushes over to the edge of the pit and peers down to see what happened, with his bow ready to shoot.

The vulture-thing is gone. There's no sign of it save a faint trace of sparkling magical energy in the air near those strange red and black hieroglyphs painted high up on the pit wall, seemingly disappearing into the stone there....

Ivid, not sure what to think, keeps his bow raised...

"Solie, Kherim, and you others, stay cautious. - Can't believe this was the entire bloodfeast;
no, not in this place!"

Kherim looks a bit disappointed and nods at Ivid's words
"Yes, I think you're right. This was too easy..."

(sorry for the cliché)

Nothing more happens....

Sol will scan the bottom of the pit for his spear and recover it if he can. If not, he will begin to work his way around the pit to where the next unexplored area is located.
