The statue is extremely heavy, and Sol needs all his strength to topple it over, but finally it falls to the floor, smashing into at least a dozen pieces. There's nothing hidden inside or beneath it.

Ahi is satisfied that these artifacts cannot be effectively utilized for evil, at least in the foreseeable future. "Which way shall we head at this point?" He asks his fellows.

OOC: All the maps in this thread are for the battle! Sir C, can you update, or point me to a good map for leaving this wonderful evil mask and altar place?

Kherim gives an approving look upon the destruction of both alter and statue before turning to the others, "We have destroyed his likeness but now we must confront the fiend, himself. There was another path outside this blasphemous chamber, Eilkhan, can you check the corridor for hidden traps?"

"Sure I can" she says with a smile. "But perhaps let's all be healthy first before moving on? Maybe the spellcasters can do a little detecting before I go into the small passage?"

"I'd prefer heading down the other end of this hallway, before entering into a small passage that will restrict our abilities to use weapons and spells," Ahi will suggest, "if that is fruitless we can always come back and continue this path."

Sol brushes his hands and picks up the spear and steps out into the hall. Looking at the hole to the right, he comments "I didn't think I could fit in there too well when I looked at it earlier..." With that he heads for the room with the statues of the Gods.

After you've left the evil chapel, you all feel a wave of benevolence. Obviously the gods watch over you within this grim place and approved what you just did.

OOC: Everyone who was still damaged is healed of all wounds. Eilkhan and Kherim feel that the curses that have been laid upon them at the stairs and the pit have been removed from them. Everyone also gets 3000 XPs for overcoming this very difficult situation.
