as it was brimli's idea of course he'll follow, too - he's a bit bitter that this other guy is doing the talking now, but he's not a man of many words, so it's okay.

You enter past the charred door of the barracks, the room beyond is spacious, dominated only by a staircase along the far wall. Before the stairs is a desk and chair, empty now as it would appear its occupant, a man dressed in a more formal set of studded leather armor then practical, leaning against it is concerned more with the double doors and a few men stepping in and out through there.
"Sir, Waus and Miner got hurt bad, Cutters doing what he can until we get Arnthora up here."
The man at the desk sighs "How many dead Baker?"
"Think only two sir, still need to see about the outlying farms though."
The man nods, then turns to the entrance of one of his men and the three behind him. "Report Nev."
Your escort takes a step forward "Sir, well's shot, tho water maybe suspect when we can get to it. May have to set up shifts to the river for the time being." Looking back at you, then forward again. "Though I've actually come back sooner because I brought a few that fought some of the vermin near the Temple, they seem interested in joining."
The man eyes you "I don't hire mercenaries." Turning back to Nev "Pay them a manor each for their efforts. And Nev, take the vermin and bury them this time, I don't want the scare of cooking meat attracting the Dearth Monster this time."

Arnthora steps past the charred doorway, escorted by a guard. She gives you a quick glance before turning her attention to the man at the desk "Priestess, it is a pleasure to have you grace our hall. I'm must insist that the watch needs Thor's blessing." The man gives a slight bow "Two men injured could use your assistance, they fought bravely."

She brushes past her escort on her way to the double doors, not even looking anymore at the man near the desk "Oh Ryn, I'm sure you only heard about the attack. Ternelmor's son likes to lead from the back..Not a way of Thor, but your men shall not suffer for your sense of preservation."

Ryn scowls at Arnthora, before seeing the crowd still at the front doorway. "Your dismissed, and if you aren't a watchman I've no business with you, now go!"

Nev and the other guard stand in attention, then turn to leave.
