Act 1, Scene 2: Scouting out the Unknown!

"Do you truly think Grumm?" Hororin remarks." The people here hates us for no clear reason. There is something foul at work here and I think that the elves that attacked us in the woods have a lot to do with this."

"I'm sorry if I come off negatively." Hororin looks down sadly." But these recent events are bring back bad memories."

You turn around and you can almost hear the crickets!
All doors are still locked and barred, shutters were nailed from before you came and nobody is outdoor anywhere you can see.
Every now and then, you hear children crying in the houses and parents hushing them hastily.

"These craven fools have nothing to tell us," said Ewart. "The gods are steering us to this temple, it seems. I for one, will answer the call of He-who-must-not-be-named-yet, and visit the temple without delay."

"Agreed, Ewart," Grumm replied, hoisting his axe. "Let us stable our horses in the outbuilding to the tavern and make haste towards our fate in that temple."
#55
The door to the outbuilding to the tavern is barred like all other doors, gates and shutters of the town.
However, there are rings where you can tether your horses outside all main buildings.

Ewart led his horse in the direction of the temple, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary.
#57
Grumm followed his companion with his war-pony in tow. He squinted in the dark as they walked, searching for any further sign of life in the boarded up village.
#58
Hororin follows behind his companions, he looking around his surroundings nervously.

As far as you can understand, the atmosphere is more of fear and lack of trust, rather than menace. Anyway, while at times you can hear people behind closed doors, everybody stays out of sight.
The entrance door to the Temple of Fourga is closed, but you don't know if it is locked as well. There are rings for tethering horses on the walls besides the entrance.

Hororin ties his horse to one of the rings. He then approaches the front doors of the temple. He examines the doors to see if they are locked by a device or by magical methods.
