Don't expect too much if you really care to hunt down this rare old issue of Dragon Mag:
This is really just a three-page write-up and a sneak-peak for the then-upcoming BM d20 line.

Still, even so, the deeper characterization of the Docrae might be of use to you if you're into halflings and tiny folk D&D,
something that I found rather sidelined in the ZGG books.

Could this have been done better?
Would there have been better ways to advertise the setting's unique charm?

Certainly. Maybe?

But is this a bad read, not informing, or not entertaining? - Not at all! Smile

I enjoyed this article since it was published before Blackmoor came out, and was as you say a sign of things to come. Smile

I didnt like the Docrae that much at first, but I have come to realize that they do give us ideas on the origins of Halflings in general, and also some hints about what the lands west of Blackmoor may have been like in the past.
