Re: High Thonians (was Hello. New to Blackmoor.) - Havard - 06-20-2011 Cutting you again Rafe. The first mention of High Thonians was in the D20 Dave Arneson's Blackmoor Sourcebook. They are described as having fair skin, blonde or brown hair. They are tall and have a longer lifespan than humans. While there is nothing in that book suggesting that they are an albino-eque like race, I do like this interpretation from the Last Fantasy Campaign. If High Thonians did exist in Dave's original campaign, I suspect their inspiration would have been the Dunedain of Tolkien. If you consider the other Tolkieneque races included in the Blackmoor campaign, it would not seem unlikely that High Men were not included as well. ![]() -Havard Re: High Thonians (was Hello. Yeah, my High Thonians are inspired by the Melniboneans, and by WL's Macrabs, of which, as far as I am concerned, they are direct descendants. |
