[FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - Havard - 06-17-2011 Where would you place Freeport in Blackmoor? Both Maus and Robinsport have been mentioned. What about Jackport? -Havard Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - Neko Princex - 06-20-2011 I think I'd be partial to replace the island northeast of the land of the Egg of Coot with Freeport isle. Either that or just add it in to the center of Gorgon Bay. Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - Rafael - 06-21-2011 And you would tune it with the setting... How? Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - finarvyn - 06-21-2011 I remember a Freeport module or two years ago and I found them to be pretty fun, even though they were for 3E. I know that there were some modules and then I think they redid it to make a more unified product. I'm not sure. Which Freeport materials in particular do you like best? I find it hard to understand the reasoning behind removing such an essential part of the setting to accomodate for Freeport, when the town could be placed so many other places? Quote:Either that or just add it in to the center of Gorgon Bay. This would be like placing it in a lake in the middle of Mordor. I would think it is possible to find a location where you could include the city without having to loose anything of Blackmoor? finarvyn Wrote:I remember a Freeport module or two years ago and I found them to be pretty fun, even though they were for 3E. I have an almost complete collection of Freeport products, missing only a few obscure items. The majority are for 3E, but the latest batch are either systemless or the companions which exist for a number of rulesets. In addition to the three modules (Freeport Trilogy), I like the Freeport: City of Adventure, or the updated Pirate's Guide to Freeport the best. In general the entire Freeport line holds a really good quality though. -Havard Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - finarvyn - 06-22-2011 Havard Wrote:I think it's the Freeport Trilogy that I had. I'm assuming that I got rid of them when I got rid of a lot of my 3E stuff, since otherwise I have no idea where I put them, but if so it's a real shame because I thought they were awesome.finarvyn Wrote:Which Freeport materials in particular do you like best?In addition to the three modules (Freeport Trilogy), I like the Freeport: City of Adventure, or the updated Pirate's Guide to Freeport the best. Wonder if I can pick 'em up in PDF somewhere. Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - Havard - 06-23-2011 finarvyn Wrote:Havard Wrote:I think it's the Freeport Trilogy that I had. There was a 5 year anniversary version of the Freeport Trilogy collecting all three modules which is pretty pricey, but the individual modules can be bought relatively cheaply: Death in Freeport Terror in Freeport Madness in Freeport The collected version also included a few side trek adventures (available as free downloads) and was updated to 3.5, but if you can live without that, the individual modules should work nicely. -Havard Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - finarvyn - 06-24-2011 Havard Wrote:There was a 5 year anniversary version of the Freeport Trilogy collecting all three modules which is pretty pricey, but the individual modules can be bought relatively cheaply:Oh, I can easily live without any 3.5 updates. I'll hunt for the three individiual ones listed below. (Actually, first I'll check a box or two in my closet ... just in case. ) Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - Havard - 06-24-2011 Since you will probably be using an older edition of D&D with Freeport (OD&D maybe?), I also recommend the Pirate's Guide to Freeport which is systemless. -Havard Re: [FP] Freeport in Blackmoor? - aldarron - 06-30-2011 Only thing I know of Freeport is what I just googled a minute ago, but from that brief description, I wouldn't "put" "Freeport" anywhere. But, looks like it would be ideal to use as the description and details for either Port Dacoit or Robinsport. Prolly the former, more than the latter. |
