The Demon Portal - lizard42069 - 12-06-2007

This game entails the theft of a dragon's egg and the abduction of the egg barer, Adreal. It is up to her love (pc) an elven ranger to track her down and rescue her from whomever captured her and the egg. However he dose not know who has taken her or where she has been taken to. He searches the land for any sign of Adreal or the egg to no avail. At last he comes to a small village and checks into the Sleepy Willow Inn where he meets some very interesting people.

This game is set up for about four players and I need:
1 elven ranger
1 dwarven defender
1 cleric of St. Cuthbert
1 rouge

There are indepth backgrounds for each of these characters and each one has their own quests to attend to. By working together the party can complete these quests. This game can take pcs into epic levels and beyond. Anyone interested in joining this game respond to this thread and let me know which character you want to take.

Is this game set in any published campaign setting? Which rule set are you using? Is it going to be D&D 3.5 or some other game?

How well do we need to know the rule set? I'm not very familiar with 3e.

- lizard42069 - 12-07-2007

Ok Gandalph, I use 3.5 because it's the only system I know. I used to play back in the days of thaco but I've long forgotten those rules. So the only thing I know how to use is 3.5

Houkama, Great the dwarven defender has a good quest. I'll be moving over to the game thread shortly to set up everything. I want you to post your character sheet in there and as soon as you give me a name for your character I'll have your history up so you can get aquainted with your role.

On another note here's some changes and things I'm willing to accept as far as charcter sumissions go. First this is what I actually need to fill:

1 male elf: Ranger/Scout/Fighter type, member of the Rangers of Endore
1 dwarf: Fighter type, member of the Dwarven Defenders
1 human cleric: Member of his clergy
The rouge I highly reccomend but I don't actually have a real quest for him or her. Though without a rouge I'm sure you will all die horrible horrible deaths in the dungeons.

I am not limiting characters to just these, I'll consider any type of character within the confines that they are of the standard races: Human, elf, dwarf, halfling, half-orc, gnome.

Certain races from the monster maual can come into play later in the game, let me know if you'd like to play a drow or lizard folk and when the time comes I'll switch your character over and run your character as an npc, allow you to run two characters or retire your character, whatever you'd like to do.

You can also submit a potential history for your character, I'll do my best to accomodate your ideas into a working history, but I need to make sure they fit within the world and the quest I have in mind for your character, then again some characters, like the rouge right now, are open ended characters so if you have any ideas as to what kind of quest they might be on give me an idea and I'll run with it.

Anyone considering this campaign should look over the material I have posted in the game thread. and just so you know, you don't have to know all of that for the gameplay, I only created it to make a full and lush world to play in.

This looks interesting. Are there any restrictions on the characters? I would like to play the theif.

- Everett_I - 12-08-2007

I also don't know much about third edition, but I'd like to play the elven ranger and name him Everett.

It looks like you should post your character details, histories, etc, here:

Do you want us to register with DnD Online Games, or can we use the wiki (http://heroesonly.com/wiki/), or just post it as text in the forum?

Hmmmm, Everett huh? You wouldn't be in any way related to the other Everett, would you? Wink

Ok first of all 3rd edition is all I know but I know it well so I can help any of you with any problems you are having and I get you promt answers.

Second: You can use whatever method of posting your characters you like. This is actually a new forum for me so if they have an automated character sheet here someone explain how to use it so I can make npc sheets. Now this all means using a character sheet from another sight is ok, using the character sheets from this sight, if they have them, is ok, posting it entirely in text is ok. If you choose to post it in text I have a few things to address. First give a good physical description of your character. Second display all detail noramally on a character sheet and keep them updated when we level up, third you don't have to post your skills if you are using a paper character sheet next to your computer, third don't write your history on your character sheet, I will post final histories in the character history section.

Now on the subject of classes. I don't care what class you want to choose, what book it comes from, even if it comes from a book from an edition other than 3.5. Third I don't care where you take your character, all and any prestigue classes are open to you so long as you meet the requirements.

Now I'm asking that people fill the characters that I have quests for, but I'm not requireing it. If no one wants those characters they will become npcs.

I'm only looking for four characters but I will consider others.

I will make certain monsterous races available for pc play. Just let me know what monsterous race you want to play and we'll arrange for you to join the play with that character at an appropriate time in the story line. What will happen if you are already playing a character is entirely up to you, you have three choices: 1 Character can retire completely, 2 you can play two characters, 3 I can take up the character as an npc.

Now what I want in your applications:

Name:
Race:
Class:
Alignment:
Personality:
Description:

We will be starting at level 6
