[PrC] Sunsingers - Havard - 09-27-2010 As I started with the other thread on Spiked Chargers, I am also taking a look at another Prestigue Class from the Player's Guide. This one is called the Sunsinger. Sunsingers are a kind of cross between Bards and Clerics, using music to invoke the power of the sun, which they again use to destroy undead, spread light in dark places etc. One unanswered question with this PrC is which where the powers of the Sunsingers come from? While the powers seem to be bardic in nature, the Sunsinger also gains access to divine spells. Which deities can be linked to Sunsingers? The most likely candidates are Pacuun and Solarios, possibly also Baldin. These deities are associated with the Sun so it would be natural if Sunsingers are in fact followers of these deities. Another idea that struck me is to make Sunsingers primarily a Halfling PrC. Halflings are already known as lovers of music. This would also help answer another important question: Which deities to the Halflings of Booh follow? Tilla is a halfling goddess, but her followers are primarily Docrae. Nothing is said about Halfling Deities, although Clerics are said to be more common among Halflings than among the other small folk races. Having the Halflings of Booh be worshippers of the sun seems fairly appropriate. Any thoughts? -Havard Re: [PrC] Sunsingers - Havard - 11-08-2015 I think the MMRPG did something else with the Sunsingers than what I proposed here, but now I forget what -Havard |
