Tonisborg - Havard - 02-24-2010 From: http://odd74.proboards.com/index.cgi?bo ... thread=683 Quoting Greg Svenson: Quote:Dave Arneson tells me I was the third DM, after himself and Gary. I ran a adventure for Bill Heaton (the Blue Rider) and Mel Johnson (Mello) sometime during the fall of 1972 (nobody remembers exactly when) using Dave's notes. I built a city, called Tonisborg, complete with a dungeon and a network of catacombs, during 1973 and ran many adventures there and all around the Blackmoor area in 1973 and 1974 using the play test rules for the original three little books and then the published books. Tonisborg was located approximately where Vestfold is on the current Blackmoor area maps, for anyone who is interested. I have been wanting to reconstruct this place ever since Greg first told us about it. Does anyone have suggestions? Greg? As to location, I was thinking maybe moving it slightly to the west of Vestfold, where the War Road meets the road from Wizard's Watch? Unless Greg has other plans for this project that is... ? Havard - aldarron - 02-24-2010 An alternative might be to move Vestfold a bit, for a more retro fit. Just a thought. - gsvenson - 02-24-2010 All of my material was lost, so I just use Vestfold now days. Sorry... - Havard - 02-24-2010 Aldarron Wrote:An alternative might be to move Vestfold a bit, for a more retro fit. Just a thought. Its a possibility, but I would rather keep the basic framework from the maps used in the DA series and the D20 line. I think there is room for adding a town or two, but I dont want to change what's already there. They are just mentioned in the FFC (number 23, page 48). |
