Most likely it is just an expensive collectors item, possibly with some new art and optional rules added. But we will see as time approaches. There were some reports that WotC had announced 6E, but that did not happen. Got an e-mail from WotC today that said: Quote:Thank you for the enthusiastic emails about the 50th Anniversary of D&D and the announced revision of the core books in 2024. Not many details otherwise but it looks a lot like 5.5 or so, probably taking some of the material from later books and putting it into the core rulebooks. |
