I certainly don't see many giraffes or rhinos appearing here unless brought through some circus or summoned magically. These animals are mentioned in connection to spells and I assume that the mages who came up with the spells are knowledgeable about creatures from distant lands. -Havard Re: Monsters from Published Blackmoor Books - aldarron - 03-23-2020 Some others that come to mind: SuppII Giant lizard Giant Rat Crypt Skeleton (2 HD, page 43) Giant Snake Giant Troll (true troll, p44) Garbage Pits of Despair Maggot Men Zombie Maggot Men Watchwings Carcus critters and I think somewhere around here we did a list for the FFC, didn't we? Hmmm...looks like I posted this one at the OD&D74 forum: Havard Wrote:Here is a list of monsters that appear in the FFC, but which I havent seen used much (if at all) in other D&D products & additions:[/quote] Could be useful to go through the FFC in more detail and include human units like Crusaders, Vikings, Heroes, Superheroes etc as well... -Havard Re: Monsters from Published Blackmoor Books - aldarron - 03-29-2020 Yes. There's a few FFC critters I have statted out in my "Arsonian" monster manual. I might be forgetting one or two: Giant Vultures Sea Serpent 10th Abomination (shadow) Giant Hog Id monster Also, I'm vaguely remembering Havard that you wrote up something about the ghost lady of the black tower and the jungle of tangor creature. Re: Monsters from Published Blackmoor Books - Havard - 04-02-2020 Discussion about Id Monster split into separate topic here ![]() -Havard RE: Monsters from Published Blackmoor Books - Yaztromo - 09-05-2023 This is a post about the Sahuagin that I appreciated: http://boggswood.blogspot.com/2023/07/sahaugin-origins-and-inspirations.html |
