Black Moo! - Rafael - 11-18-2015

All cows in the kingdom of Blackmoor have turned into zombies!

What do?!

I present thee.

From that discussion:
Quote:I think I've spotted a typo; you wrote "worst" instead of "best." Zombie hamburgers for everyone!

Quote:blame the Egg of Moooo-t

Quote:There's such a thin line between "worst" and "best"...Black Moo is insane enough to walk that line like a tightrope!

Quote:Zombie cows on a tightrope, hmm...

Although I could honestly see this idea sprouting in a more serious context. Perhaps a cabal of evil necromancers hoped to spread a curse of undeath through livestock, but something went wrong and slaughtered cattle rose again to devour the living in a sick parody of nature. There is something to be said about taking something innocuous or mundane and giving it otherworldly or supernatural menace (I think that accounts for about half of all horror films, actually). And even if the zombie cows are all destroyed, the livelihoods of farmers across the kingdom would be irrevocably damaged, causing food shortages, economic difficulties, violence, disease, and all manner of society-destroying shenanigans. A setting ripe for brave and ruthless adventurers to take advantage of, I would think...

Quote:1) One based on Myst -- all puzzles, and you never encounter anyone else for the entire campaign.

2) All the PCs wake up in a tavern with bad hangovers and mummy rot. Where is the mummy and what did they do with it last night?

Quote:3) The PCs find that their latest dungeon expedition to the Hall of the Goblin King has gone awry due to goblin lawyers issuing a restraining order against them. Can they launch a successful appeal, or will they settle out of court?

Most of these are too silly for my tastes, but for the right occasion and some beer and RopeCon it might just work Smile

You might remember that I talked about this masterpiece of modern imagination as early as 2012.

Ran it a couple of times. Won't tell anything about it. But it's indeed a real waste of an adventure, ifyouknowwhatimean.

Re: Black Moo! - Yaztromo - 11-17-2017

Actually, about almost a year ago (50 weeks, let's say...) I played (played, not run...) a game for another setting that was about cows being possessed by demons... and after all it was good fun!

Are you saying that you are a... Copy-cow? Confusedhock:

Re: Black Moo! - Rafael - 11-17-2017

Actually, this adventure: I need to write it, one day. The BBEG was the Weasel. The quest-giver patron, however, was the Great... Swiney.

We went there, for real. I am not proud of it. ...But I don't regret anything. Big Grin
