About Heroes Only - FantasyFanz - 01-04-2005 Hello Angelo, I would like to congratulate you about your site HeroesOnly. I've been in search of more Original D&D sites in the net recently, and I've noticed that it's really hard to find any of them 100% dedicated to this marvellous roleplaying game. I knew it long time ago, but I still play it with my friends. I think it keeps some magic flavour. I also contact you because My brothers and me are creating a Fanzine devoted to several rpg's & wargemes including Original D&D, here is the place: http://www.telefonica.net/web/carmonafantasy , and I would like to exchange some material for magazine articles for incomming issues. The fanzine is in english and spanish, so I would translate these articles to both languajes. Thus, we would like to count with your permission to use some material from your web site. Of course, we would keep always your credits for any article you have created and We would use. Adittionally we are including a link to your site in our D&D section. We are reformating a little bit the web site because we are almost ready to post the issue #2. We would like to include some new character class for the issue #3, and we would be interested in half-orc one. We will wait for your feedback. Thanks for your attention & Regards, Jesus Carmona Esteban. - Angelo - 01-10-2005 Nice looking website. Sure, you can post the materials on your website from Heroes Only. Thanks for asking. - FantasyFanz - 01-10-2005 Thank you, we will contact you for further questions, if you don't mind. By the way, do you still play to Basic D&D ? Regards, Jesus. - Angelo - 01-11-2005 Yes, we still use the D&D Cyclopedia. Of course even though we follow the basic rules, you know everyone makes house rules and perversions of their own. Personally, I like to take basic D&D and add the elements that I appreciate from later versions, for example: 1d10 initiative. - FantasyFanz - 01-11-2005 Yes, that's what I mean. I use the Cyclopedia too. Ah, yes. I read the notes about initiative inside optional rules. i think I will apply it in next games. I'm using also some other combat rules I've found at http://home.earthlink.net/~scottludwig/index.htm |
