The Amazons of Blackmoor were first mentioned in the First Fantasy Campaign. Sheridan promised me he would help with this one... -Havard Re: New Race: Amazons, Blackmoorian - hunterfairbanks - 01-15-2012 If it helps any the Wilderlands of High Fantasy 3,5 edition has Amazon as a race in the "Player's Guide to the Wilderlands" page 20-21. Amazon as a class/race that I have the actual source material for goes back to at least as far as 1977 "Tegel Manor" page 4 under "Shopkeepers & Notable Natives". Sadly I do not see any rules for making an old edition amazon. Re: New Race: Amazons, Blackmoorian - Havard - 02-02-2012 Thanks Hunterfairbanks! I will definately be checking out the Wilderlands for ideas to steal from. I never cared much for the idea of Amazons being a different race than humans. I like to see them simply as a human culture of women warriors. Of course whether different human groups should be treated as "races" in game mechanical terms is a different matter. -Havard |
