Re: Beyond This Point Be Dragons - Havard - 11-03-2012

I came across this while traversing the blogosphere:

Quote:The mysterious early D&D document known as “Beyond This Point Be Dragons” (or, alternatively, as “The Dalluh Manuscript”) contains many tantalizing statements and notes. The more it it is investigated and pondered over, the more it appears to reveal.

Note: The above deals more with the setting implications of the document than its authorship.

Edit: More on the document itself by the same author: http://in-the-cities.com/2012/10/04/bey ... /#more-401

FYI, the Gor books were among those that I read when I was playing Blackmoor before D&D was published. In late 1972 we were actually flying around on tarns for a few months (using the Chainmail Roc stats). We dropped it completely, but I am not sure of the reason. My guess would be that by flying we were by-passing many of the best adventure opportunities...
