The way I see it, the Circus is the organization, and Clown is just a role within that organization. The point is not to get lost in discussing definitions though. Exploring the subgroups of each organization can also be useful in this thread. Quote:Also, would Blackmoor University bailiffs count as rogue or fighter types? Categories are difficult. I will be adding some organizations where I couldn't find a specific class to link them to later on. OTOH for Bailiffs my first thought is that they will be fighters? What do you think? Are their jobs mainly being keepers of the peace or do they have other duties? -Havard Re: Organizations of Blackmoor - RobJN - 12-07-2013 Havard Wrote:Hmm... I thought there was a bit more to Fletcher Williams' entry in DA1, but it simply states that the 40 bailiffs and 80 student auxiliaries are charged with keeping the rowdies from "terrorizing the town or disrupting studies." Sounds like fighter's work, to me, but no doubt there would be magic users among them, too, for handling anything over and above what can be dealt with by way of fists or steel...RobJN Wrote:I think just listing the Clowns should cover all the bases for the circus. I think this is worth exploring further though, perhaps as a separate topic? For some reason I am reminded of Argus Filch (David Bradley) from the Harry Potter Series here... -Havard Re: Organizations of Blackmoor - Havard - 12-10-2013 Updated: Havard Wrote:CLERIC OR DRUID* ORGANIZATIONS -Havard Re: Organizations of Blackmoor - Havard - 12-11-2013 Updated: Quote:MONK / MYSTIC ORGANIZATIONS -Havard Re: Organizations of Blackmoor - Havard - 12-12-2013 Updated!
