What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Rafael - 03-16-2011 That. When did which of them reveal itself to its followers, which of them ascended to godhood during recorded history, and when? OF COURSE I think of using this for the game, so I have to remain sketchy. Yours, Rafe Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Havard - 03-30-2011 According to the D20 sourcebook, Khoronus, Thanatos and Mieroc are among those having more recently ascended to Godhood. We have had some fan discussions over at the Piazza linking Khoronus to the early days of Thonia, although canon states something like "a few centuries ago", linking him to the Duchy of Ten. I think I mentioned Mieroc's ascension in my Dwarf/Gnome timeline. Thanatos is older I think, but the D20 sourcebook does give him a mortal background. Thanatos also exists in both Mystara and the Wilderlands and this origin doesnt fit too well with him so I am tempted to ignore the mortal backround in his case. There might be others, but I dont have the book with me right now. -Havard Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Rafael - 03-30-2011 Thank you, buddy! Just the BMCS? I got to look that up ASAP! Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Havard - 03-30-2011 Rafael Wrote:Thank you, buddy! Yeah, that's the one. There is some additional information on the churches of each god in the BMPG, but I don't think it is too relevant for this particular issue. Oh, and I forgot the Peshwah Gods. With the exception of Hak, they were also mortal or lived among mortals (my impression at least). I was thinking of making them similar to the "Immortals" from the Horseclans series. -Havard Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Rafael - 03-30-2011 My idea exactly. I have a particular take on Khoronus that I will show sooner or later... Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Havard - 05-31-2011 If you want to include Mystara lore, then this threadwill be useful. -Havard Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Havard - 09-05-2011 So from this you add Ixion into the campaign, who is the only deity stated specifically to be as ancient as the universe? -Havard Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Rafael - 09-05-2011 I explained you the plot over a dozen times already, and you still cannot connect the dots?! Or, let me say it in a picture: ![]() Now, be so kind as to put two and two together. The Ixion-arc, being the core of the campaign, should really not be such a mystery by now, really... Also, this thread was about what I would do with Fronaus. Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Rafael - 09-05-2011 Also, to why I chose that name, watch more TRON, please!
Re: What's the age of the Blackmoorian deities? - Rafael - 09-07-2011 BTW, an attentive reader might find that I am following a certain pattern in the LFC that might or might not be intentional... Odin... Ixion... Fronaus... Ka... The three divine dragons... Pathmeer... Hella... Where am I really going with the re-interpretations of the Blackmoorian deities...? |
