I'm a uni student from Kentucky and I have had an interest in TSR and the OSR scene for a few years now! My researching into Blackmoor led me to this forum and it's been interesting to read through all that's on here. Thanks for having me!

Hi all,

My name is Nick. I am an Assistant Professor over at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I've been in and around tabletop games for a large portion of my life. I started with 2nd edition though i've been playing each of them here and there as I can. I just finished my PhD back in 2018. What a year it's been since then!

Way back in...1998/99? I was an admin at gamingoutpost.com. It was a super popular place back when RPG.net had been sold off to some tech bros and looked like it was going to close. I decided to go back to college around 2005 after my life had mostly fallen apart. Now i'm back and writing about Dungeons and Dragons and PLATO.

I met Griff via Twitter and some other folks in the history of D&D over the years. I have some free time this summer and so I wanted to try and start a side-project about programming education via D&D. Need to establish a position first, though.
