While the topic of elven lifespan is something that has come up several times on this forum in the past, it has usually been in connection with the past history of Blackmoor. When discussing the nature of I started thinking about the future timeline as well. Assuming the Great Rain of Fire happens around 1000 years after the Classic Blackmoor Era (1025-1030), the length of elven lifespan would mean that the elves who are alive when Blackmoor is destroyed could be the grandchildren of Menander Ithamis, or even the children of elves who are young during the Classic Age.

Anyone given this more thought? That has some interesting implications for campaigns such as RobJN's Throne of Stars game... 8)

Not sure if you ever read the Isle of the Wolf entry for "The Age of Theodore", but the Elves anticipate the event (that is hinted at in the LFC, with the scene where the burning rain falls), and bunker in pretty early.

Erdath would still be alive at the time of the Rain, as would be most of the Olven characters. (Treebore and Finarvyn played two.)
